It was a half-hour ride to the office. Luckily the skies were clear except for the the storm clouds still on the horizon.

The land was flat and the roads were straight, so there was nothing much to distract me, except for the radio.

We all seemed nervous in each other's company and travelled in awkward silence.

I wanted to ask what was going on but didn't want to admit I was interested, let alone concerned.

Something must've gone wrong though. I could see THREE in the mirror: He was grinding his teeth and kept turning and looking at FOUR.

Then he turned on me: 'Change the fucking radio station! I'm sick of this fucking song!' I looked over my shoulder: 'But I've never heard it before...'

'Right! You've never heard it before, you fuck-wit! Change the fucking channel!'
I pressed a button and some religious program came on. 'Next!' I tried again. 'Next!'

TWO turned the radio off and said: 'Maybe we should  have some quiet before we arrive; we're only five minutes away now'

We sat in silence as the town grew on the horizon. It wouldn't be long now and I too would know the truth.
